Brainstorm by Dr. Dan Siegel M.D. is excellent book for parents, teachers or anyone who is around teenagers in any capacity. It is not necessarily an easy read, but it is a very necessary read. Siegel “explores exciting ways in which understanding how the teenage brain functions can help parents make what is in fact an incredibly positive period of growth, change, and experimentation in their children’s lives less lonely and distressing on both sides of the generational divide.”
You don’t have time to read any books?? I get it!! What I do to plow through books is to put the book on my To Do list and the only way I can cross it off each day is to read at least ONE page. So, some days I read ONE page and cross it off my list and some days I read a couple of pages. I slowly make my way through many books, literally ONE page at a time! It is amazing how many books I have gotten through using this system. Try it! It works!
